Still some asked
| yenta, who is DaZe? |
So lets take a moment to find out from the man himself!
You're quite an old school player, but for many newer players, you are an unknown - Introduce yourself!
DaZe: Well my name is Jens and I'm 22 years old. I live in Sweden and play terran. I used to play back in the day with ToT but went inactive in the beginning of 2007 because I moved to the US to study. When I came home I didnt really have any motivation for SC since life caught up with me... however recently I started playing some games again and found it really fun!
Where and what did you study in the US? how did you like it?
DaZe: I studied Business in LA, Santa Monica (CA) which was really nice - but my 3 friends and I mostly went there to meet new people and to have a great time... There might have been a few occasions with alcohol involved as well. I Studied in LA, Santa Monica.
Very different from Sweden?
DaZe: Indeed... Lectures were great but the school system is entirely different than the one we have here in Sweden. I dont want to elaborate too much since it would get very technical but it was a very good experience. I learned alot about myself and life!
You've been hiding on the name 'terranbadman' - Is this just to poke fun at yourself or to motivate yourself to return to form?
DaZe: hehe... well when I started playing I didnt wanna play under the ToT tag since I wasnt that active and very bad at first... Im still not back to my former shape but at least now I dont have to be ashamed of my gameplay :) Fun nickname though! I will probably still keep it to play some ladder.
Alot of starcraft players seem to complain that even when they think they have left the game - they are still drawn back to a few occasional games - Is it the same for you?
DaZe: Kind of... When I first came back, as I said, I didnt care about starcraft at all. But as time passed by I missed my old friends and the game itself, which made me play when I had time. When you've played SC as much as I have, it is probably hard to leave it behind entirely, which is why many players return!
Have you had the chance to meet many of your clanmates?
DaZe: No, unfortunately not.. Ive only met the Swedes, mostly because of sweden not having WCG for the past 5 or 6 years (?) Would be so fun to meet everyone, but perhaps later on in life!
Did you have a chance to watch the TSL games today?
DaZe: Of course! I played TSL but didnt make it to the qualifier (due to a lot of reasons) - but I've followed the tournament closely.
How did you feel about Mondi's last game versus Shaman - probably had every unit and most every spell...
DaZe: Haha, yeah - it was a fun game to watch. Very weird game indeed. However those are the games that are the most fun to watch/play
Than perhaps you have some fun replays floating around? For the fans? ;)
DaZe: I did release a replay pack from TSL which can be found at TL.net for those who wanna see my bad gameplay, but I do have a few nice reps vs other ppl as well! You will have to wait and see
Just one for the road?
DaZe: hmmm... ok! I have 1 fun game vs aCe which was a game just for fun so dont judge us too much ;p 45 min on Fighting spirit. BCs, restoration, devourers, plague, swarm - u name it we got it! =)

Any last shoutouts or words of wisdom?
DaZe: Shoutouts to everyone in ToT of course.. especially
Mondi for having me back =) I'm also very glad to see that the game is still alive and stronger than ever, tournaments like TSL2 are part of the reason I came back, big creds to them and www.pokerstrategy.com!
Thanks for the interview - Its really awesome to see you online like back in the day and I hope to see you in the lineup as soon as possible!
DaZe: Thank you! <3
